

While research and professional development activities are key components of our program, our participants have in a wide range of other fun activities such as flying drones in the College of Engineering’s M-Air facility (upper left), visiting the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Laboratory (upper right), checking out local eateries such as Zingerman’s Deli (lower left), participating in our End of Program Poster Fair (lower middle), and taking time to explore our campus (lower right).
SUMMER 2025
UPDATE (3/21/25):
The selection of our cohort for the Summer 2025 offering of the PICASSO REU program has been completed. Thank you to all who expressed interest in, and applied to, our program. Cohort selection is always difficult, as we receive so many excellent applications (250+, in fact). For those who are eligible to do so, we hope that you will consider applying to our program for Summer 2026!

To be eligible for our program, participants:
– Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident of the United States
– Must be enrolled as an undergraduate sophomore, junior or senior for the Fall 2025 academic term.
