While research and professional development activities are key components of our program, our participants have in a wide range of other fun activities such as flying drones in the College of Engineering’s M-Air facility (upper left), visiting the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Laboratory (upper right), checking out local eateries such as Zingerman’s Deli (lower left), participating in our End of Program Poster Fair (lower middle), and taking time to explore our campus (lower right).
SUMMER 2025
For our Summer 2025 program offering, our application period will run from December 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025. We will be using the National Science Foundation’s Education and Training Application Portal (ETAP) to collect both participant applications and references. December 1, 2024 – PICASSO REU application period begins
January 31, 2025 – PICASSO REU application period ends
March 1, 2025 – Offers are extended to successful applicants
March 15, 2025 – Accept/Decline decisions are due
May 27, 2025 – Start of Program
August 2, 2025 – End of Program
To be eligible for our program, participants:
– Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident of the United States
– Must be enrolled as an undergraduate sophomore, junior or senior for the Fall 2025 academic term.
